A tale of two Nénuphars

We are back from a glorious 5 weeks in Canada and I have a bit of catching up to do on the blogging front! I was sewing like a maniac before our trip (aided in big part by an unexpected 3 1/2 week break between jobs and pre-holiday), and didn't get a chance to blog about most of it. So here goes... First up, the Deer and Doe Nénuphar Jacket ... As part of my mini Deer and Doe patterns shopping spree recently, I bought the Nénuphar Jacket pattern. It was originally just supposed to be for a friend who wanted a 'kimono-style' jacket, but it didn't take long for me to decide to make one for myself. I don't usually wear jackets in Singapore, but thought it could be a good for travel, and for the overly-air-conditioned offices and restaurants in Singapore!
